Sydney was born May 30, 2003. In his short life, he has gone through many traumatic experiences. He was locked in his kennel in a tent trailer when a group of insensitive people decided to bang on the walls of the trailer. Sydney was stung by a wasp or bee and had to be revived using CPR - we now carry an EPI pen for him. Just this past fall, he was given Eagle Pack dog food and had a severe allergic reaction.

Sydney has been affectionately nicknamed "Mr. Beans" because he was so active when he was a pup - just like Mexican jumping beans. Katie, our older Yorkie, would look at us as if to say " What have you done to us?"

Sydney is shy at first, but once you have gained his respect, he will want you to hold his paw. He participates in agility where he has been working on some focusing issues. He wants nothing more than to be held by his "Anna". It would be hard to find a more devoted pet. If we are away from home for any length of time, we joking laugh that our shoes have "gone a walking", he will take a certain sandal or slipper and lay down with his head on the unit. This summer, I received a phone call at work to inform me that he was outside completing an agility course with my sandal in his mouth - I guess you could say that we were working on our distance work.

Sydney has participated in several Children's Wish Annual Picnics, agility demos and he has a knack of calming down other dogs in tense situations. Sydney is only limited by our hectic schedule.
